Linda L. Heim, age 87, a resident of Wyndemere in Wheaton, IL, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021.  She was born August 21, 1933 in Ionia, Michigan to Merle and Viola "Helen" Hiler.

Linda attended college at the University of Michigan where she earned a Master's Degree in Music. She met George E. Heim Jr. at the University of Michigan and they were married on July 11, 1955.  She and George spent time in the mountain states and the Midwest while he was earning a PhD. in Geology.  They lived in the Milwaukee area before moving to the Chicago suburbs in 1964. She raised three children in the Wheaton area.

She enjoyed music and playing bridge, but her family was her most important focus.

She is survived by her children, Stephen Heim MD of Wayne, Rebecca (John) Whyte of Naperville and Katherine (Jim) Van der Werf, of Flagstaff, AZ, her grandchildren, Matthew (Lisa) Heim, Michael (Emily) Heim, Brian (Alyssa) Heim, Cameron Whyte, Genevieve Whyte (Parker)  Hardwick, Gia Carbonaro, Bianca Carbonaro and Alanna Carbonaro, her great-grandchildren, Ava, Jackson, Brody, Cecilia and Cora, and one sister, Susan Neller of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her husband George E. Heim Jr., PhD, her parents.

Services and interment will be held privately.
