Linda Bode, 75, of Winfield, IL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Born in Kansas City, Kansas, she was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Julia Barnes. A true country girl at heart, Linda spent her childhood riding her beloved horse, Nicky, exploring the fields near her home, climbing trees with her siblings, and spending time with her loving grandparents, Claude and Ruth Barnes.

On May 5, 1973, she married Carl Bode, the love of her life. Together, they built a life deeply rooted in faith, family, and community in Winfield. Linda's unwavering faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. For nearly 50 years, she was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church, where her warm voice graced the choir and her loving heart guided children through the Awana program for over 30 years. Her kindness, resilience, and steadfast prayers left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Linda generously invested in her family, friends, and community, always making everyone feel seen and valued. Whether it was helping with her children's projects, offering a listening ear, or sharing her wisdom, her presence brought comfort and encouragement. She also found joy in quiet moments, watching sunsets from her chalet near Lake Michigan with her sweet dog, Addie.

Linda is survived by her children, Bryan (Leighann), Paul (Lori), and Julie (Udayan) Goswami; her grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jack, Carly, Max, Jackson, and Anaya; her siblings, James (Judy) Barnes, John (Nancy) Barnes, Bonnie (Neal Simpkiss) Schwam, and Rebecca (Bobby) Khosravipour; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl, and her parents.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Grace Redeemer Church, 27W010 Parkway Dr, Winfield, IL 60190, from 3 PM until the Celebration of Life service at 5 PM, with dinner to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Awana Clubs at Grace Redeemer Church , continuing Linda's legacy of faith and service.
