Lillian Spitler, age 93, a resident of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, and formerly of Franklin Park, died Friday, April 9, at Johnson Healthcare Center. She was born on January 13, 1916 in Chicago.

Mrs. Spitler was an active member of the Mannheim Baptist Church in Franklin Park for 38 years, where she was active in the Sunday School Program. She has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Wheaton since 1987.

She is survived by two children, David (Meredith) Spitler of Geneva, and Joan (Bob) Allison of Cookeville, TN; three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Melody) Spitler, Douglas Spitler, and Julie (Rob) Backode; 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Spitler in 2000 and three sister and three brothers.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 until 11:00. Interment will be private at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Elmhurst.
