Lillian Schick, 94

Lillian Schick, age 94, formerly of Carol Stream, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 2 in LaGrange Park, Illinois. Born and raised in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago, Lillian lived a full and vibrant life.

On December 14, 1957, Lillian married Walter "Sonny" Schick in Chicago. Together, they raised two daughters in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, where they were active members of St. Basil parish.

Lillian was a true people person who cherished time spent with family and friends. She loved dining out, listening to music, and was an enthusiastic member of the First Apostolate of the Handicapped. An animal lover at heart, she always had a special place in her home for her beloved dogs and cats.

She is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Daniel) Porter and Dolores (Xavier) Hernandez; her four grandchildren, April (Mark) Taylor, Michelle (Cuco) Ochoa, Everett Doyle, and Daniel Hernandez; and her great-grandchildren, Cynthia, Alex, Jocelyn, Mya, Erik, Reyna, Amaya, Emily, Collin, and Brock.

Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Walter in 2000, her parents, and her seven siblings.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 8, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St, Wheaton.   On Tuesday, July 9, prayers will begin at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. followed by an 11:00 mass at St. Mark Catholic Church in Wheaton.   Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
