Lillian Margaret
Daniel
November 19, 1928 – July 13, 2021
Lillian M. Daniel, age 92, passed away July 13, 2021, at Meadowbrook Manor in Naperville, Illinois. She was born November 19, 1928, in Campus, Illinois, the third child of Milton and Mary Lower. She graduated from Ionia High School in Ionia, Michigan, in 1946, finished normal school, and taught in a one-room school in rural Michigan for two years.
Lily was a woman of great courage and strength. She survived pain and loss from an early age and relied upon her abiding faith in God throughout her long life. She was a survivor who, in the last year of her life, was infected with COVID-19. She recovered and lived for another year, until both of her daughters and her only granddaughter were able to come and visit her in person; we have an idea she was waiting for us.
Lily will be dearly missed by her daughters: Deborah (Linda Novinger) Daniel of Madison, Wisconsin, and Susan Joy (Robert Antrim) Durovey-Antrim of Hartford City, Indiana; her grandchildren: Nicole Heiman (Joel), Joel Daniel (Kristyn), Eric Daniel (Laura), Lance Durovey (Rebecca), and Jesse Durovey (Tamara); her greatgrandchildren: Isaiah, Jasper, and Sawyer Daniel; Rachel and Lydia Durovey; and Ethan, Caleb, and Owen Durovey. She will also be missed by David and Phyllis Reinbold, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings; a daughter, Mary Dawn; a son, David Michael; and her former husband and the father of her children, Jack W. Daniel.
Many thanks to the staff of Meadowbrook Manor of Naperville for their kindness and caring for Lily during the last four years of her life and in the face of a worldwide pandemic. We are grateful to the staff of Apex Hospice who were heroic in providing care and support, especially during Lily's illness with COVID-19.
