Letitia "Lee" Grimm, age 92, a resident of Beacon Hill in Lombard, and formerly a 50 year resident of Wheaton, died Saturday, April 29. She was born on November 1, 1913 in Chicago to Max and Tina Bartolomei.
Lee worked for over 30 years at E. G. Home Center in Carol Stream. She was an active volunteer for the Wise Penny Resale Shop in Wheaton for many years. She loved being with and caring for her family.
Surviving her are her children, William (Suzanne) Grimm of Wheaton and Carol (Edward) Jallits of Elmhurst, five grandchildren, Charles (Joan) Grimm, Robert (Sharon) Grimm and Tina (Mike) Vickery, and Daniel Jallits and Katherine Higuet, nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Julia Jostes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl O. Grimm in 1981, her parents, her brother, Godfrey Bartolomei, and her twin sister, Frieda Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3, from 3 until 9 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. A mass will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m at St. Michael Catholic Church, Illinois and West St. in Wheaton. Prayers will be held at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.
