Lenore M. Deeny, age 104, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died Monday, June 27, 2011, at Wynscape Nursing Center in Wheaton, IL. She was born March 30, 1907 in Nashua, IA.

Lenore worked for the Chicago Principals Club and Lane Tech High School. She was an avid Cub fan and Pinochle player, and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Joan Spedale of Wheaton; six grandchildren, Kathleen (Dan) Kahn of Chicago, IL, Joseph (Susan) Spedale of Woodland, CA, Barbara (Robert) Hungerford of Battle Creek, MI, Judith (Larry) Mandel of Wheaton, IL, Robert (Debra) Spedale of Tinley Park, IL, and Anthony Spedale of Wheaton, IL; 14 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard I. Deeny; three brothers; and her son-in-law, Vincent Spedale.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 310 S. Wheaton Ave., in Wheaton, IL. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. before the Mass. Interment will be held at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, IL.
