Leland D. Roberts, age 85, a lifelong resident of Wheaton, IL, died June 1, 2019. He was born February 4, 1934.

Lee loved his home town of Wheaton dearly. After graduating from Wheaton Community High School, he studied Economics and Business Administration at Wheaton College (Class of 1956). While there he met his wife, Joanne Griffith. They were married on October 26, 1957. They raised their four children in the Roberts family home on Main St. in Wheaton, where they hosted many Fourth of July celebrations for family and friends.

Lee spent the majority of his career in the dairy industry, first for Jewel Food Stores and later for Elgin Honey Hill Dairy. He held prominent leadership roles in several dairy associations. Retiring in 1996, he enjoyed playing golf, spending time on the beach in South Carolina, and was active in the Wheaton Historical society. He most loved spending time with his nine grandchildren.

Lee is survived by Joanne, his wife of 61 years and his brother James (late Elaine) Roberts. Surviving children Meg (Kurt) Tillman, Jim (Wanda) Roberts, Mark (Rebecca) Roberts and Laura (Mark) Branine, grandchildren Andrew (Bridgette), Jacob and Rachel Roberts; Stephen, Christa and David Tillman; Joanne, Meg and Aimee Branine, and great-granddaughter Wandajune.

A visitation will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL. A funeral service will follow immediately after at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be private at the Wheaton Cemetery.
