Lawrence W. Matter's Obituary
Lawrence W. Matter, age 93, a resident of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, died Wednesday, April 22, at Windsor's Johnson Health Care Center. He was born October 18, 1915 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Larry worked for Moody Bible Institute for 31 years as the Graphic Arts Manager. He was active in the Wheaton Bible Church.
He is survived by his two children, Joan (Robert) Farrar of Maryland, and Ray (Diane) of Wheaton, IL; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Ruth Dowell of Fullerton, CA.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Alice.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, at 2:00 P.M. at Windsor Park Manor, 124 Windsor Park Dr., in Carol Stream. Interment will be private at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be directed to Moody Bible Institute, 820 N. LaSalle St., Chicago, IL 60610.
