Obituary
LaVerne G. Lindberg, age 83, of Wheaton and formerly of Sparta, WI, died Friday, February 11, at the Wheaton Care Center. She was born on April 1, 1921 in Chicago to J. P. and Hattie McCarthy.
She was an active volunteer and benefactor of the libraries in Wheaton and Sparta and was an avid reader, who was a member of local book clubs. For many years she worked as an office manager for Mel-O-Air Heating and Air Conditioning in Wheaton. She was an active participant and volunteer through the Little Flower Charities.
She is survived by one son, Keith (Debra) Lindberg of Wheaton; two grandsons, Michael and David; and three sisters, Marge (Casey) Dykier, Jean Marie Rumpsa, and Patricia (Glen) Stone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Bryant Lindberg, one son, Kenneth; her parents and one brother, Bud McCarthy.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 15, from 6 to 8 P.M. with prayers at 8:00 at the Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Wheaton. Interment private.
