Lauretta M. Spruth, age 95, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. She was born on October 19, 1921 in Foley, MN to Walter and Clara Spruth.

Lauretta was the daughter of a Lutheran pastor who ministered in West Chicago, IL. She was a secretary at a large firm in Chicago for many years. After she retired, she worked as a secretary at St. John Lutheran in Wheaton, IL where she also volunteered for many years. She especially enjoyed traveling internationally with the Joy Group at St. John Lutheran.

She is survived by her close friends, Beverly and Jerry Lamberg and family, and Carl and Dagmar Lofgren and family. She is also survived by many other friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church , 410 N. Cross St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
