L. Eileen Eggert, a resident of Wheaton, IL, passed Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. She was born October 17, 1938 in Flint, MI.

Eileen was a dedicated and active member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Glen Ellyn, IL where she served as Reader, Board Member, and Clerk. She was a Christian Science Practitioner who supported the spiritual needs of many people. She cherished her time at the family lake cottage with her husband, children, grandchildren, and friends. She loved to read, to cook for family and friends, and to walk outdoors.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Charles Eggert; three children, Susan (Marty Feeney) Eggert of Pella, IA, Kristen (Brad) Hays of Warrenville, IL, Thomas Eggert of Geneva, IL; six grandchildren, Robert and Caroline Feeney, Madeline and Sydney Hays, and Lucas and Natalie Eggert; her sister, Carolyn (Ken) Jeffery of Cedar, MI; three nieces, Karen, Laura and Amy; and one nephew, James.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. Interment will be private.
