Klarien Stob, age 77, a resident of Warrenville, died Wednesday, March 14, at home. She was born October 29, 1929 in Chicago.
Klarien was a member of Gary Memorial United Methodist Church in Wheaton, IL. She was a longtime Wesley Resale Shop Volunteer. She was an avid crossword and Scrabble player, and a gardener and orchid lover.
She is survived by her husband, Jacob Stob; two sons, Jack Stob, and Jeffrey (Cindy) Stob; three daughters, Barbara Stob, Kathleen Stob, and Linda (Ronald) Fink; seven grandchildren, Jesse Fink, Jacob Fink, Ryan (Amy) Steger, Marc Steger, Aaron Steger, Brian Foster, and Ami Foster; her two sisters, Helen Niemeyer; and Janet Bieri; two sisters-in-law, Martha Groenewold, and Elizabeth Groenewold; and her brother-in-law, Howard Woltman.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Ray, and Clarence Groenewold; her sister, Elizabeth Woltman; her parents, John and Minnie (nee Prins) Groenewold; two brothers-in-law, John Niemeyer, and Art Bieri; and her sister-in-law, Doris Groenewold.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 25, at 3:00 P.M. at Gary Memorial United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St., in Wheaton. Interment is private.
