Obituary
Kimberly J. Gorski-Hassett, age 53, a 20 year resident of Wheaton, died Sunday, June 10, at home. She was born June 17, 1953 in Oak Park.
She worked for the DuPage County Circuit Court Clerks office where she recently celebrated her 30th anniversary. She was a member of the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation and championed the rights of handicapped citizens for acceptance and accessibility. In her younger years she was a poster child for the Cerebral Palsy telethons.
She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Robert T. Hassett; her mother, Barbara Lindstrom of South Bend, IN; her twin brother, Tim Gorski of Middleton, WI; and a large family network who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Gorski.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 14, from 3:00 P.M. until the time of a service at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be private.
Memorial gifts may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 1801 S. Meyers Rd., Ste. #100, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.
