Kenneth J. "Howie" Mader, age 56, a resident of Warrenville, IL, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. He was born April 8, 1966 in Hinsdale to John and Donna Mader.

Ken grew up in Wheaton and graduated from Wheaton Central High School in 1984, where he was on the baseball and golf teams. He enjoyed most all sports and sports radio. He played hockey and loved bowling. He was a die hard Sox, Raiders, and for years, a Nascar fan. He enjoyed many forms of music and was a huge Sinatra and Beach Boys fan.

He was a proud retired member of Laborer Local 68, working for Concrete Structures, Bulley and Andrews, Ragnar Bensen and Baumgartner Construction.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Tamm-Mader (nee Schramer), his parents, his sister, Debbie Flickinger of Oregon, step children, James (Krystal) Tamm, Justin Tamm and Whitney Tamm, his grandchildren, Corbin Tamm, Kira Tamm and Davi Ptak, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home.
