Obituary

Kenneth D. Lindsey, age 65, a resident of Carol Stream, IL, died May 2, 2016, at Advocate Good Shepherd in Barrington. He was born November 30, 1950 in Eldorado, KS.

He attended school at special ed in Chanute, KS that his parents were instrumental in starting. He also attended school in Bloomingdale. He worked at a workshop in Downers Grove, at Ponderosa in Carol Stream, and at Windsor Park in Carol Stream. He was active in the Special Olympics, where he played basketball, softball, bocce, tennis, bowling, and golf. He was in the organization Friends Community Ball Team. He also participated in WDSRA.

He is survived by his mother, Bernice Lindsey of Carol Stream. His brother-in-law Tony Kryka. His four nephews, Anton Jr., Richard (Marcie), Kyle, and Jason Kryka. His Aunt Marjorie Kirschner.

He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth E. Lindsey. His sister Guyla Kryka. His two nephews James and John. Also his Uncle Wesley Kirschner.

A visitation will be held May 6, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held May 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home. A visitation will also take place May 9, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home in Humboldt, KS, interment will follow at Mount Hope in Humboldt, Ks.
