Kenneth "Kenny" Barrett, age 43, a resident of Carol Stream, IL, died Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. He was born November 14, 1968 in Chicago, IL.

Kenneth was a hard-working family man, working for Lake Street Shell in Hanover Park for over 10 years. Ken will be remembered for his easy-going spirit, his enormous generosity, his sense of humor, and his loving heart.

He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Barrett, of Carol Stream; daughters Elizabeth Barrett of Rockford, Rebecca Barrett of Carol Stream and step-daughter Samantha Hansen of Mundelein. Ken is the brother of Linda (Richard) Smiley, George (Sandy) Barrett, and Ross Barrett. He will be missed by his family and an abundance of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father James Barrett and mother Mildred E. Barrett (nee Ford) and sister Priscilla Cesak.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 11, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service to be held at 11:30 a.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 119 West Wise Road, Schaumburg, IL 60193. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the family for a children's education fund.
