Keith G. Edstrom age 68, a resident of Belvidere, IL, and formerly a longtime resident of the Chicago area, died Saturday, November 27, 2010. He was born September 2, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois.

Keith worked as a medical illustrator at Boston General Hospital, Boston, MA, and as a technical illustrator at Stewart-Warner Electronics Corporation, Chicago, IL. He worked as a graphic and technical artist for his family's company, Harbil Manufacturing,
Wheeling, IL.

Keith was an avid reader and had a love of history. He had an inherited love of cars and enjoyed drawing and making model cars. He also had a natural talent for swimming and lettered in his junior year at Maine East H.S. in Park Ridge. He attended the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and Carbondale, and attended North Park College in Chicago.

He was a loving husband of 26 years to his wife Carol; dear brother of Robin Pardue of Maple Grove, MN, and Bruce (Denise) Edstrom of Dunedin, FL; proud Uncle of Kristin (Bradley Von Bank) Pardue, Kendra (Robert) Atkinson, Kenneth (Jennifer) Pardue, Robert Edstrom, and Bruce Edstrom II; nephew of Donald and Lois Edstrom; cousin of many; and great-uncle of five.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 3, from 10 a.m. until the time of a funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 N. Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068. Interment will be private at Ridgewood Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
