Kay W. Walker's Obituary
Kay W. Walker, age 75, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died August 16, 2014, at 7:00 am in Cassopolis, Michigan. She was born May 17, 1939 in LaPorte, Indiana.
Kay grew up in LaPorte and graduated from Purdue University and was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She worked as an English teacher for 8 years and then was a Counselor for 37 years at Hadley Jr. High School in Glen Ellyn.
She was a member of Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton, where she worked at the Wesley Shoppe many years and was a member of Dorees Circle. She was also a member of the Women's Department Club of Wheaton .
She is survived by her brother, John Whetzell of Vandalia, MI and nieces, nephews, and all her best friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oren Dean Walker in 2007.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Gary United Methodist Church, 210 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187. Private interment will be held at Salem Cemetery in Stillwell, Indiana.
