Katie Crisostomo, age 45, a resident of Aurora, IL, passed away after a courageous battle with Lymphoma and Leukemia on Monday, May 16, 2016, at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora. She was born May 21, 1970 in Winfield to Elden and Judith Brown.
Katie grew up in Indianapolis and moved to Boulder Junction, Wisconsin in 1984. She graduated from Lakeland Union High School in 1988. She returned to the Chicago area in the early 1990's where she worked and attended college. And met her husband, Alberto Crisostomo, whom she married on July 13, 2001.
Katie cherished many long lasting friendships she established through work; she was an outgoing person who always had time to help others. She loved to go to Florida with family and friends and always spent Christmas in Wisconsin. She loved to have fun, especially going on adventures with her son, Max. Sharing in Max' activities with Alberto always brought her the greatest joy.
She is survived by her husband, Alberto Crisostomo, her son, Max, her parents, Elden and Judith Brown, brother, Michael (Maribeth) Brown, sister, Laurel (Gooch) Gutjahr, and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at
Gary United Methodist Church
, Main and Seminary St., Wheaton, IL 60187.
