Kathy J. Hendry, age 55, a 30 year resident of Warrenville, died suddenly, on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at home. She was born August 25, 1958 in Harrisburg, Illinois to Charles and Judith Girot.
Kathy grew up in South Elgin and graduated from St. Charles High School. She was a talented musician, who enjoyed singing and playing the violin. She studied music at Elgin Community College. On June 16, 1979 she married John Hendry.
In 1981 she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her faith was one of the most important parts of her life and she loved to share her faith and the wonderful hope of the Paradise. For several years she spent 90 hours a month teaching others about the Bible and her God whom she loved, Jehovah.
She is survived by her husband, John Hendry of Warrenville, her mother, Judith Chandler of Franklin, TN, her father, Charles Girot of Muddy, IL, and a brother, Eddie Chandler. She was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Girot.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL followed by a service at 6:00 p.m. Interment will take place on Monday, October 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Warrenville Cemetery in Warrenville, Illinois.
