Kathryn A. Rubin's Obituary
Kathryn Ann Rubin, age 90 years old, passed away peacefully at Autumn Leaves Nursing Home in Glen Ellyn, Illinois on Friday, September 28, 2018. She was born on September 9, 1928 in Lansford, Pennsylvania.
Kathryn resided in Wheaton, Illinois for the past 54 years. She raised her two children until 1965. She then worked full time as a legal secretary in Wheaton for eighteen years. She was thought of as a woman who had a strong work ethic, faith and love of family.
Kathryn is survived by her two children, Gary Rubin of Wheaton and Donna Rubin of Wheaton; and the great joy of her life, granddaughter Lauren Rubin, of Glendale Heights, Illinois. Kathryn, who was the second youngest of ten brothers and sisters, is survived by an older sister, Estelle Cymbala of Brooklyn, NY; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Anna Sleeva; her brothers, Jack, Thomas, Joseph, Stanley and Rudy Sleeva; her sisters, Mae Rubin, Ann Kumick and Helen Karpinski; and her loving husband, Fred Rubin.
Services and interment are private at Wheaton Cemetery , in Wheaton, Illinois.
