Kathleen A. Lanehart, age 55, a resident of Lombard, IL, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Monday, June 25, 2018. She was born August 28, 1962 on Long Island, New York to Hilary and Marie Brudnicki.

In 1977, she moved to Lombard and graduated from Glenbard East High School in 1980. Kathy served in the U.S. Navy and then graduated from the College of DuPage. She worked as a respiratory therapist at Good Samaritan Hospital for 20 years.

Kathy believed in God and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She attended Village Green Baptist Church in Glen Ellyn for 20 years where she served in children's ministry and hosted home Bible studies with her friends. She enjoyed travel and was dedicated to a daily exercise routine.

She is survived by her husband, Harry Lanehart of Lombard, three children, Eric Trotter, Maggie Trotter and Jacob Lanehart, her mother, Marie Brudnicki, three siblings, Lois (Jack) Chamblin of Memphis, TN, Jim (Lisa) Brudnicki of Millbrook, IL, and Jennifer (Howard) Guimbellot of Wheaton, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hilary Brudnicki.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Village Green Baptist Church, 200 S Lambert Rd, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. Private interment will be held at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
