Kathleen L. Fountain, age 60, a resident of Wheaton, died at home on Thursday, July 19, 2018 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. She was born June 17, 1958 in Melrose Park, IL to George and Catherine (Hanlon) Healey.

Kathleen graduated from Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic High School in 1976. After many years in retail, she finished her career as a teaching and reading aide at Madison Elementary School in CUSD 200 in Wheaton. She also volunteered as a religious education catechist at St. Michael Catholic Church of Wheaton.

She is survived by her husband, David Fountain, Jr. of Wheaton; her daughter, Allison (Eric) Kresal of Wheaton; her son, Sgt. Christopher Fountain of Wheaton stationed at Ft. Riley; her stepson, David Fountain III of Forest Park; her stepdaughter, Melissa (Shawn) Aubrey of Oswego; three step-grandchildren; her sisters, Mary Healey and Maureen (Vince) Kerner of Downers Grove; as well as eleven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 8th from 11:00 a.m. until the start of a memorial service that begins at 3:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. Interment will be private.
