Kathleen G. Barabas, age 64, a resident of South Barrington, IL, died Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Autumn Leaves of South Barrington. She was born March 17, 1953 in Geneva, IL.

Kathy graduated from Wheaton College in 1977 with a Bachelor's Degree in Art. She was a member of College Church. She worked in the children's department at the West Chicago Public Library and then also at the Lisle Public Library. She loved to go up to Door County in the Fall with her mother and brother. They especially enjoyed driving up along the lake and then stopping at White Gull Inn for hot apple cider and a fish boil. Kathy also enjoyed visiting all of the wonderful art galleries and shops in the area.

She is survived by her brother, Daniel Barabas of Wheaton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Jane and Steven Barabas.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. until the start of a funeral service to be held at 1:30 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
