Karen Kraay Lindenberg

Karen Kraay Lindenberg, 83, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026. She and her younger sister, Kathy Kraay (who also passed away this week) were both born in Hammond, Indiana.

Karen lived most of her adult life in St. Charles, Illinois with her husband, children, and grandchildren always nearby. Se began her career as an elementary school teacher, but later most fondly remembered her time working at Flinn Scientific in Batavia.

She is survived by her husband Terry Lindenberg, daughter Kristy Lindenberg, son John Lindenberg, daughter-in-law Colette Lindenberg, ad granddaughters, Sydney and Sarah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Maxine Kraay.

Karen's favorite decade was the 1970's when her children were young and colors were psychedelic. She loved planning family vacations, buying Christmas toys, sewing costumes fr Halloween, and helping all the neighborhood kids celebrate events like the Davis Elementary School Ice Cream Social.

Karen will be remembered for her strength, kindness, love of life and contagious laughter. She will be missed by all who knew her.
