Obituary

Karen D. Eberhardt, age 65, a resident of Wheaton for 31 years, died peacefully on Sunday, August 1, at Central DuPage Hospital. She was born on October 6, 1944 in Chicago to Henry and Velma Hamman.

Karen was a people person who loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. She was the go to person whenever there was a need for comfort or advice or just to listen. She had the ability to make a birthday, anniversary or holiday a special day for everyone. She was an inspiration to all that she touched.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jerry, three daughters, Debbie (Dan) Hoffman of Carol Stream, Sherrie (Mitch) Osborn of Plainfield, and Sandy Eberhardt of Wheaton, three grandchildren, Kristin, Allison and Tyler, one sister, Shirley Mueller of Frankfort, one brother, Jerry Hamman of Orland Park, nieces and nephews including, Steve Berlin, Sharon Hinterlong, and Jeff Hamman and numerous cousins. She is also survived by her adopted daughter, Donna Mohn and her daughters, Lauren and Lindsay.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and Marv Mueller and Diane Hamman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 6, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.
