Karen Darlene
Collins
December 21, 1947 – March 22, 2017
Karen Darlene Collins went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 22 at the age of 69 from complications associated with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Her love for the Lord was tangible in her daily life and helped her bravely fight cancer for seven years. She was an encourager who was full of life, love, joy, support and enthusiasm and brought out the best in everyone she met. As an exceptionally loving Mom and Grammie, she made every effort to cheer on her grandchildren in sporting events and performances. Karen's joy, love and happiness were contagious, and she relished her Bible Study groups while faithfully praying for those she loved and cared for.
She is survived by her two children: her son, Robert Kims Collins IV and her daughter, Kimberly Darlene Kowalski, her daughter-in-law, Mary McDonald Collins, her son-in-law, Charles Edward Kowalski and her six grandchildren (Brayden Edward Kowalski, Emma Amelia Collins, Bryce Samuel Kowalski, Angus Kims Collins, Marjorie Karen Collins, and Barrett Collin Kowalski).
A visitation will be held at Wheaton Bible Church on Friday, April 7 between 4pm and 8pm. A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place at Wheaton Bible Church on Saturday, April 8 at 11am.
Memorial gifts may be directed to Wheaton Bible Church, Giving & Stewardship | Wheaton Bible Church , 27W500 North Ave., West Chicago, IL 60185 or the Lymphoma Research Foundation.
