Obituary
June Duncan, age 77, of Elmhurst and former longtime resident of Wheaton, died Sunday, October 9, in Metamora, IL. She was born May 19, 1928 in Yonkers, NY.
June's life was one of service to others. Whether caring for her family, teaching a Sunday School class, or volunteering for many charities, she took joy in helping others. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved to be surrounded by family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Thomas; her children Dr. Susan Cole, Bruce (Judy), Philip (Kendra), Keith (Teresa) and Cheryl (Dr. Cornelius Davis); 21 grandchildren, one Ian Cole, who proceeded her in death; a sister, Carolyn Hansen, Gwen (Jack Pinkham); a brother, Tom (Barbara) Dunkerton; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street in Wheaton, on Thursday, October 13, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, October 14, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Repeat Boutique, 1825 College Avenue, Wheaton, Illinois 60187.
