On September 28th, 2019, Judy McGhee departed this world for her next grand adventure. Those who knew her knew she loved scenic road trips, watching woodland creatures, caring for her pets, and practicing gardening or watching the flowers come and go with the seasons. She began and ended her career at Argonne National Laboratory.

She leaves behind her son, Jeffery and her daughter in law, Christine with their children Ian and Megan as well as her brother, Kenneth (Sue) Carpenter and their son, Willy Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Donald McGhee.

Services and interment at Wheaton Cemetery will be held privately.

In her memory, Judy would encourage all to take some time out of your day to watch the squirrels, pamper your pet, and admire some flowers. Memorials may be directed to the ASPCA .
