Judith M. Waldow, nee Streufert, age 81, a resident of Glen Ellyn, IL, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019, at Arden Courts of Glen Ellyn in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. She was born May 10, 1937 to Albert and Edna (nee Zahn) Streufert.

The oldest of 10 children, Judith was born in Aurora, Illinois and spent much of her childhood in Michigan. Judith graduated from Concordia College in River Forest with a degree in Education. She earned her Master's Degree from Northern Illinois University.  Judith married Carl M. Waldow and had three children. She was an elementary school teacher for District 200, spending the majority of her career in the second grade classroom at Madison School, Wheaton until she retired at age 71. She was a longtime active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton.

Judith was an avid reader and enjoyed baking. She also loved music and taught piano for many years. She was a people person with a big heart who loved to stay in touch with her many friends and family. Her laughter will be missed by all who knew her.

Judith is survived by her children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton . A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Main St. at Franklin St., Wheaton. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.
