Joyce A. Wolf, age 91, a resident of Belmont Village in Carol Stream, formerly of Morton Grove, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023.  She was born June 17, 1932 in Chicago to Allen & Gladys Brown.

Joyce grew up in the Portage Park area of Chicago and loved her hometown.  She attended Schurz High School and did clerical work at a large firm downtown after graduating.  Joyce was constantly the volunteer who took on jobs with ease. She was a Girl Scout leader, YMCA aerobics teacher, school helper, Morton Grove Women's Club officer (President, Secretary and Treasurer), Morton Grove Garden Club member.  She ran many luncheons and other affairs for the clubs she was a member.  She loved art and anything creative such as painting, flower arranging, gardening and cooking.  Joyce excelled at cards and enjoyed playing bridge at St. Martha's Church.  The life of the party, Joyce had many friends whom she loved dearly.  She enjoyed driving into the city and touring the different neighborhoods to see how they had changed.  She was a history buff and read constantly. She became a travel agent in her later years and she and Arnold traveled the world after retirement. She loved experiencing the food and culture of other countries.  Arnold Wolf was the love of her life who she met through friends when she was 17. They were married 70 years in September 2023.

She is survived by her daughters, Jamie Kirchhofer (Bruce) & Georgia Boepple (Jack); her granddaughter, Christine Barry (Jon); her grandsons, Patrick Kirchhofer (Amanda) & Brett Kirchhofer (April); and her granddaughter, Madeleine Boepple, Joyce is also survived  by seven great grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold (who recently passed in October 2023) ; and her sister Jean Kessel.

A small private Celebration of Life for Joyce and her late husband, Arnold, will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton, Illinois. Please note that this event is for family only. Joyce & Arnold will be laid to rest at Wheaton Cemetery.
