Joyce Meredith Morey, nee Helmer, 84, a resident of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, IL, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Central DuPage Hospital.

Joyce Morey was born and raised in Chicago, IL. In 1945 she attended the University of Illinois where she met and later married Howard T. Morey. She received her Associate of Arts degree from the College of DuPage at Glen Ellyn, IL on June 6, 1973.

She raised three children: John, Doug (Martha), and Jeanne (Roger) Johnson. Beloved grandmother of six grandchildren: Katie (Darin) Hamlin, Erik Johnson, Rachel (Michael) Groat, Megan Johnson, Sarah (Hunter) Holmgren, and Rebecca Morey, and great- grandmother of Brendon Hamlin. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. She was a wonderful woman of great faith and looked forward to heaven, trusting in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, at 11:00 A.M. at Community Baptist Church in Warrenville, 28W444 Main St., Warrenville, IL 60555. Interment will follow at Warrenville Cemetery in Warrenville.
