Joyce Anderson, age 82, a resident of Carol Stream, passed away July 28, 2021, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois.  She was born July 27, 1939, in Toronto, Ontario to Daniel and Edythe Anderson.

Joyce grew up in Toronto and was invited to a Billy Graham Crusade by a youth group leader. It was there she became a follower of Christ and trusted Him as her Lord and Savior. Joyce had a special interest in serving in the mission field and went on to attend Breircrest Bible Institute in Saskatchewan. After graduation she continued to work at Breircrest serving in an administrative role. She moved to the United States after being offered a position at Gospel Missionary Union in Kansas City. She served in other evangelical organizations such as Conservative Baptist Foreign Mission Society, WEF, and most recently in the finance department at TEAM. Joyce appreciated her time at TEAM and the many opportunities to meet missionaries on home assignment. Although Joyce was not able to go into the international mission field herself, she was thankful for the opportunity to serve those who did. Joyce was a longtime member of College Church in Wheaton where she served in numerous ministries including choir, children's ministry and STARS Disability Ministry. She was also involved in the Adult Community Group at Wheaton Bible Church.

She is survived by her brother Peter (Susan) Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her sister Mary, her brother Art, and her parents.

A memorial service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held in the Commons at College Church in Wheaton, 332 E Seminary Ave., on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
