Joshua David Popescu, 29, a resident of Winfield, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 22. He was born February 18, 1989 in Aurora to Nick and Cornelia Popescu.

Josh grew up in Winfield and graduated from Wheaton North High School in 2007. His love of music lead him to graduate at the top of his class at Flashpoint Academy in Chicago. He was a prolific guitar player. He had a great sense of humor and was tenderhearted, compassionate and generous.

He is survived by his parents, his sisters, Ligia (Alberto Perez) Popescu, and Dina (Garrett) Hilliard, his niece, and his maternal grandmother, Zina Parlea.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 28, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Faith Community Church, 910 Main St., West Chicago, IL where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
