Obituary

Josephine Dudley, age 83, a longtime resident of Melrose Park, IL, passed on Monday, April 20, 2015, at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood. She was born April 22, 1931 in Chicago to Amada and Macario Sanchez.

She grew up in the Back of the Yards neighborhood in Chicago. She was the youngest child with four older brothers. On June 12, 1954 she married Fidel Dudley and they raised three daughters. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed many meaningful friendships. She was one who always had an open door and open heart for others.

She is survived by two daughters, Corrine (Carlos) Lopez of Crystal Lake, Debbra (Lenn) Walker of Beach Park, five grandchildren, Carisa Lopez, Cayla (Patrick Rovito) Lopez, Brittany (Tawn) Bowman, Dennae Guzzo and Elias Walker, and her beloved great-granddaughter, Mia Fishkin. She is also survived by one brother, Aurelio (Goya) Sanchez and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fidel, her daughter, Donna and three brothers, Mike, Nato and Lalo.

A visitation will be held Saturday, April 25th, from 9 to 11 at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave., West Chicago, IL 60185, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00am.
