Josephine Disko , age 91, of Glen Ellyn, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Maple Glen Memory Care in Glen Ellyn.
She was born March 6, 192 9 in Way ne County, KY the daughter of James and Veda (Benge) Matthews.
Josephine worked for 40 plus years as an office manager in the medical field. In her free time, she enjoyed ballroom dancing , traveling, and music. She was a woman of faith and believed in Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and lived a life pursuing knowing Him.
However, her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family and friends. She was the friend you called when you needed someone to listen to you and provide comfort , encouragement , and strength. Her children share that their mom would want to be remembered as a sincere and kind person. She extended kindness with patience and understanding and took the time to listen to anyone no matter what circumstance.
She will be missed by many and remembered with much love and affection.
Josephine is survived by her son Frank and his wife Susie Kennedy of Euless, Texas , daughter Tamara (Robert) Nowakowsk i of Wheaton , sister Bonnie ( Donald ) Stephens, and many other dear relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law Robert, her three other siblings and her precious cat (Spooky).
