Joseph F. Polito, age 55, a resident of Wheaton for 13 years, died on Monday, January 23, at the Central Du Page Hospital. He was born June 27, 1950 in Chicago to Franklin and Mary Polito.
He worked as a painter for Wheaton businesses in the downtown area. He enjoyed fishing, his C.B. radio and bon fires.
Joe is survived by his mother, Mary Fontana of Wonder Lake, five children, Dawn Rodriguez of West Chicago, Yvonne Chartrand of Wheaton, Joseph J. Polito of Wheaton, Vincent (Vandy) Polito of Wheaton and Nichole Polito of Warrenville, 11 grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters. He is also survived by his former wife, Marlene and by two brothers, Franklin and David Polito. He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, where a service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Interment is private.
