Joseph N. David, age 75, a resident of Glendale Heights, IL, died October 17, 2014, at Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Illinois. He was born March 15, 1939 in Chicago, IL.
Mr. David retired from Dearborn Wholesale Grocers after a thirty plus year career. He was a member of The National Rifle Association and a Volunteer instructor for novice class amateur radio for E.S.D.A. Activities that he enjoyed included fishing, CB and Ham Radio communication, giving his wife a hard time, gambling in Vegas, remote control cars and of course, all those late night calls to QVC and HSN (we have the merchandise to prove it!)
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy (nee Olson), the best Dad known to mankind to his children, Joe, Jodi and Michelle. Grandchildren Brandi (Jeremy) Jank and Kaylee. Great-grandchildren Jeremy, Joshua and Jayden. Many nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law David (Jo) Olson. Sister-in-law Eileen (Pat) Sparks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Josephine. His sisters and their spouses, Violet and Emil Keefner, Vlasta and Raymond Fila, Cecelia and Edward Michl. His in-laws, Albert and Audrey Olson. His brother-in law, John Olson. And his beloved dog Pepe, who was waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge.
A visitation will be held October 20, 2014 from 3-8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. A funeral service will be held October 21, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at
St. Matthew Catholic Church
in Glendale Heights, IL. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
