John D. Tracy, age 72, a resident of Winfield Woods Health Care Center in Winfield, IL, died December 30, 2015, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. He was born April 25, 1943 in Decatur, IL to Joseph J. Tracy and Norma C. Tracy.

He grew up in Ivesdale, Illinois, attended Bement High School and graduated from Champaign High School. John was a member of the Illinois National Guard. He enjoyed informal social gatherings with friends and relatives. John was loved by his family and lived a full life in spite of a long-term struggle with mental health issues.

He is survived by two brothers, Robert Tracy of Elmhurst and Stephen Tracy of Belvidere, three nieces and three nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, with a funeral service following at 3:30 p.m. Private interment will be held at Ivesdale Cemetery in Ivesdale, IL.
