John Piazza, age 91, a resident of Lanark, IL, and formerly of Wheaton, IL died Friday, November 7, 2014, at Coventry Living Center in Sterling, IL. He was born December 8, 1922 in Kansas City, MO.

John proudly served his country during World War II. He loved to fish, and play cards. He was an active member of the Painter's Union Local for many years and served as the Secretary/Treasurer.

He is survived by three daughters, Delores (Bob) Baldwin of Wheaton, IL, Linda (Marv) Brunoehler of Aurora, IL, and Lorraine (Richard) Bangs of Davis Junction, IL; seven grandchildren, Bo (Maricel) Baldwin, Marvin (Heather) Brunoehler III, Eric Brunoehler, Chrissy (Scott) Compton, Richard Bangs Jr., Toni, Lori (Frank) Urso and Peter (Victoria) Piazza; and 14 great-grandchildren, Bryce, Cora, Marvin IV, Benjamin, Holly, Jesse, Samuel, Isaac, Richie, Vinny, Alana, Dominic, Frankie and Marissa; his great-great-grandson, Jaxon; many nieces and nephews; and his close friend, Conrad Iandola of Pearl City, IL.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his son, John; his granddaughter, Melissa; three brothers, Tony, Pete and Joe; and one sister, Mary.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral service to be held at 12:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St, in Wheaton, IL. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
