Obituary

John V. Moxon, age 88, a resident of Wheaton for 32 years, died suddenly, Monday, February 12 at the Central Du Page Hospital. He was born on September 18, 1918 in Sparta, MI to Clair and Esther Moxon.

John served in the Army during WWII. He worked for First National Bank of Chicago for over 35 years. He was a member of the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church where he sang in the choir.

He is survived by six children, Vince (Marilyn) Moxon, Judy Moxon-Shanks, David (Kathy) Moxon, Dan (Sook) Moxon, Peter Moxon and Jeannie (Pat) Moxon-Patterson, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by six siblings, Frank (Evelyn) Moxon, Marian (Oscar) Carlson, Virginia (Maynard) Anderson, Milton (Dorothy) Moxon, Alice (Bob) Nelson, and Patricia Martin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl R. Moxon.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 16, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church, 520 E. Roosevelt Rd. in Wheaton. Friends may visit with the family from 10 until 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
