John M. Jostock, age 73, a resident of Geneva, IL, died Thursday, June 14, at the Geneva Nursing Home, in Geneva, IL. He was born March 7, 1939 in Chicago to Frank and Regina Jostock.
John was a member for 70 years of the Sons of the American Legion and a member of College Church Stars Ministry Program, in Wheaton IL. John was the number 1 fan of the Chicago Cubs, which consumed his whole life, loved bicycle riding, bowling, and playing Santa Clause at Christmas. His main concern in life was his family and friends.
He is survived by his nieces, Debbie (Ken) Desmaretz, and Patricia (Ron) Adams; his nephew, Mark (Janet) Bochat; his great-nieces, Michele (Matt) Donahue, Natalie Desmaretz, and Jessica Bochat; his great-nephews, Nicholas and Phillip Bochat; and his great-great-nieces, Elizabeth and Samantha Donahue.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Jacquelyn Bochat.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral service to be held at 10:30 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, IL.
