John F. Garcia, a recent resident of Naperville, died on Friday, October 20, 2017. He was born in Chicago on January 15, 1956.
John worked at Marriott Hotel in Naperville. He was a caring, loving, thoughtful and very humorous man who touched many lives in quiet and private ways. He was a dedicated Cubs and Bears fan who lived to see his beloved Cubbies win the World Series in 2016. He loved wrestling and boxing. He never wanted to miss a family gathering. He was always quiet but loved feeling the chaos of a large family.
John is survived by his mother, Armandina Garcia of Naperville; his brothers, Frank Garcia, Julius (Gloria) Garcia and Robert Garcia; and sisters, Olga (Michael) Hamilton, Armandina (Dale) Goetz. He was loved by all of his nephews and nieces, Michelle (Tim Vitz) Andresen, Michael (Carolyn) Garcia, Jennifer (Nicholas) Morgan, Matthew Garcia, Jill Garcia, Michael Hamilton, Ashley Rose Hamilton, and Julius R. Garcia; and God-children, Faith Goetz, Aaron Kemmer and Sofia Garcia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Garcia.
Visitation will be held on November 1, 2017 at 9:30 a.m - 10:30 a.m., and the funeral will follow at 10:30 a.m. Both will take place at
Alleluia Lutheran Church
