John H. Dynes, age 64, a resident of Glendale Heights, formerly of Wheaton, IL, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 19, 2018. He was born March 3, 1954 in Nyack, New York.

He had a witty sense of humor and liked to make people laugh. He was a loving and caring man who was very generous. His Christian faith was important to him and he prayed daily with his wife. He was very smart, good with his hands and could fix most anything.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Dynes; two sons, Matthew Dynes and Andrew Dynes; step-children, David Riesen, Tina Viteck, and Jonathan Rudin; three grandchildren, Dominick, Pierce and Layla; three sisters; and one brother.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Water's Edge Bible Church , 209 S. Oakwood Ave., West Chicago, IL 60185.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the family.
