John H. Bredfeldt, age 38, a resident of Geneva, died suddenly on Wednesday, February 4. He was born on September 15, 1970 in Winfield, IL to Harry and Judith Bredfeldt.
He grew up in Naperville and graduated from Waubonsie Valley High School in 1989. He attended Benedictine University in Lisle and graduated in 1993. He worked for the Social Security Administration in Woodridge. On September 24, 2004 he married Deborah Cates in Wheaton, IL. They lived in Winfield until moving to Geneva. They attended the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church.
John is survived by his wife Deborah, two daughters, Elyse and Jenna, his parents, Harry and Judith Bredfeldt of Naperville, one sister, Jeannine (Paul) Johnson of Naperville, one brother, Jeffrey (Dawn) Bredfeldt of Naperville and three nephews, Luke, Bradley and Evan Johnson.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 8, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church, 520 E. Roosevelt Rd. in Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bruce Love officiating.
Interment will be held at Glen Oak Cemetery in Hillside.
