Jody Green, age 74, of Wheaton, IL, died February 8, 2017, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Jody was warm-hearted, funny, loving, generous and outgoing. She adored her family, including her husband John, 2 children and 7 grandchildren, and relished her relationships with her many, many friends.

Born November 13, 1942 in Iowa City, Jody was the daughter of George Olson, a naval officer and later athletic coach and instructor at Wheaton College, and Clare Wiggs Olson, a kindergarten teacher and granddaughter of 19 ^th century evangelist, author and college administrator R. A. Torrey. Jody and her sister Libby Olson McKechnie grew up near the Wheaton College campus, in a loving, lively and artistic home that welcomed a steady stream of students, travelers and extended family.

Jody had a long career as a real estate agent and broker, most recently with Keller Williams, selling homes, starting offices in new locales, and helping to grow the careers of fellow Realtors in Illinois and Michigan. She had a gift for connecting people and was an outspoken advocate and cheerleader for her colleagues, friends and family.

Throughout her illness, Jody's faith in Jesus Christ kept her positive, hopeful and strong. Her great wish was for others to experience God's love as she knew it most tangibly over the last two years.

Jody is survived by her husband John Green, daughter Amy Wolgemuth Bordoni (Andrew), son Rob Wolgemuth (Rebecca), grandchildren Liam and Elliott Bordoni and Samantha, Paige, Luke, Brooke and Hannah Wolgemuth, sister Libby Olson McKechnie (Paul), nephews Adam McKechnie and Matthew McKechnie (Jillian), grandniece Sloan McKechnie, step-children Eric, Alec and Carolyn Green, and step-granddaughters Chelsea and Rachel Green.

She will be so greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 18 at 2 p.m. at College Church, 332 E. Seminary Ave., Wheaton, IL, with a reception immediately following.
