Joanne Anderson's Obituary
Joanne "Jo" Anderson, age 87, a resident of Wheaton, died March 19, 2015, at home. She was born February 1, 1928 in Wheaton to Marion and Myrtle Keller.
Jo grew up in Arkansas and Missouri. She graduated from high school in Dexter, MO, in 1946. In 1947, she married her high school sweetheart, James Roy Anderson. They moved to Wheaton in 1952, where she worked for Illinois Bell Telephone and later for Four Seasons Nursing Home.
She is survived by two children, Mark A. (Victoria) Anderson of San Anselmo, CA and Carrie F. Anderson of Alameda, CA, two grandchildren, Cameron and Alexandra Anderson, her nephews, Jeff (Leanne) Keller and Kevin Keller and dear friend Ruth Houliston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James in 1974, her brother, Jerry Keller in 2001 and her parents.
An open house celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, April 30th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the The Ivy Resturant, 120 N. Hale St., Wheaton, IL 60187.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to CNS Hospice.
