Joan Elsie Romanski, age 88, a resident of Glen Ellyn, IL, passed away, peacefully at home on Thursday August 12, 2021. She was born June 27, 1933 to William Edward and Elsie Ann Poore.  Joan and her husband owned J & R Appliance, a home appliance repair service. Joan's late husband was a WWII veteran and they were very active in the VFW.

Joan is survived by her daughters, Joan (Chip) Heady and Janice (Pete) Piazza, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, her daughter Karen Millar, her sons, Ray and Steve Romanski and grandson William Pike.

A visitation will be held August 16, 2021 from 4 to 8 pm at Hultgren Funeral Home. Friends are invited to join the family at 7:00 pm for a time of sharing. A funeral service will be held August 17, 2021 at 10:00 am at Hultgren Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
