Joan A. Ransone, age 87, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. She was born August 20, 1923 in Chicago, IL.
Joan served in the Navy during World War II in the WAVES. She worked as a secretary for AT&T for 20 years. She loved to play bridge and she was an avid golfer, bowler and tennis player.
She is survived by her son, William Ransone of Wheaton, IL; and her sister, Elaine Fountain; and many nieces and nephews.
Services and interment are private.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be directed to the food pantry at the People's Resource Center, 201 S. Naperville Road, Wheaton, IL 60187.
